2026년을 맞이하며 JPM 위크를 시작하는 이 시점에, 저는 한 해를 돌아보며 잠시 멈춰 서게 됩니다. 전문적으로는 중요한 전환점이었고, 개인적으로는 제 삶의 중심을 다시 붙들게 한 시간이었습니다.

2025년은 제가 바이오파마 분야에서 Business Development와 Medical Affairs를 총괄하며 온전히 이 역할을 감당한 첫 해였습니다. 이 한 해는 신뢰, 팀워크, 그리고 꾸준히 자리를 지키는 태도 위에 세워졌습니다.

저는 총 4건의 라이선싱 딜 실행을 이끌었습니다.
• Arcera / Acino와의 파트너십을 통해 AR1001의 신흥 시장 접근을 가속화했고
• Fosun Pharma와 함께 AR1001을 중화권 및 ASEAN 지역으로 확장하는 협업을 진행했습니다
• 그리고 곧 발표될 또 하나의 파트너십이 남아 있습니다 — 기대해 주세요

의학·과학적 측면에서는,
AR1001 2상 임상 결과를 포함한 4편의 피어리뷰 논문 작업에 참여했고,
ADPD, AAN, AAIC, CTAD 등 주요 알츠하이머병 학회에서 10편이 넘는 초록 발표를 진행했습니다.
또한 쉽지 않은 환경 속에서 정부 연구 지원금 1건을 확보하는 데에도 협력했습니다.

이 모든 일은 결코 혼자서 이룬 것이 아닙니다.
AriBio의 리더십, 헌신적인 동료들, 비전을 공유하는 파트너들, 그리고 엄격함과 너그러움을 함께 갖춘 멘토들께 깊이 감사드립니다.

2025년이 제게 다시 일깨워 준 것들
• 나는 어려운 일을 해낼 수 있다 — 그러나 혼자는 아니다.
• 진전에는 완벽함이 필요하지 않다.
• 진정한 임팩트는 한 걸음씩, 함께 만들어진다.

앞으로를 바라보면,
총 1,535명의 환자가 참여한 POLARIS-AD 3상 임상이 2026년에 결과를 발표하게 됩니다.
이는 환자와 가족, 그리고 치매 치료를 위해 헌신해 온 우리 모두에게 의미 있는 순간이 될 것입니다.

저는 1월 9일부터 18일까지 샌프란시스코에 머무르며,
깊이 있는 대화와 창의적인 협업의 기회를 언제나 환영합니다.

As we step into 2026 and kick off JPM week, I’m pausing to reflect on a year that’s both professionally defining and personally grounding.

2025 was my first full year leading Business Development and Medical Affairs in biopharma, and it was built on trust, teamwork, and showing up consistently.

I lead the execution of 4 licensing deals:
•With #Arcera/ #Acino, accelerating access to #AR1001 in emerging markets
•With #Fosun Pharma to advance AR1001 across Greater China and ASEAN
•one more partnership to be announced — stay tuned

On the medical/scientific side, I worked on 4 peer-reviewed publications, including results from the  Phase 2 AR1001 trial and over a dozen abstracts presented at major #AD conferences - #ADPD, #AAN, #AAIC, #CTAD. I also worked with collaborators to secure one government funding in this tough environment.

None of this happens alone. I’m deeply grateful for #AriBio’s leadership, the commitment of incredible colleagues, visionary partners, and mentors who lead with both rigor and generosity.

What 2025 reminded me:
I can do hard things — but not alone. Progress doesn’t require perfection. And impact is built step by step, together.

Looking ahead, POLARIS-AD Phase 3, with 1,535 patients, is reading out in 2026 — a meaningful moment for patients, families, and all of us working in dementia.
